Sundays 10 am to 2 pm at the Farmers Market. Be there or be square.

Grab a friend or relative and stock up on local products and services that nourish mind, body, and soul. We have tons of local products to grill, steam, fry, blanch, or just eat raw. Focus on the market for your weekly food purchases and only use mass-market big box retailers for things not found at the market. This way your local economy is the winner, not a corporate office in some other part of the world!

Although most of you are coming for the Farmers Market on Sunday, please also take a look at the continuing revitalization of Elkins Park and its businesses, including Elkins Perk, The Frame House, Calligraphics Gallery, Ashbourne Cleaners, Jiang Jewelry, Janna’s Original, Paul Ross Jewel Smith, Neulight Construction, Impact Group, Kokikai-RYU Aikido, Etz Haim Jewish Learning Center, Rolings Bakery, and the new Shatki Yoga.

Weather report: 85 degrees with scattered clouds and possible showers.

Did you know…

  • that we have a great Web site for all the latest info on the CreekSide’s Co-Op’s progress? Check out www.creekside.coop
  • that we want to grow the market? We welcome any thoughts on new vendors or farmers so pass the on the word to all your friends.
  • that you can write checks for all of your favorite products?
  • that many of our vendors have promotions going on?
  • that our produce is all within 50 miles of the market?
  • that we are a vendor-produced market? This means is that we sell products grown or produced by the vendors.

It’s very important to be aware of your food purchases and consumption on all levels. We at CreekSide want to help you help yourself in understanding what being a “locavore” means for you and the environment. Please follow this link and read up on the basics of your local food system: http://www.locavorenetwork.com/.
