Sunday at the Farmer’s Market is a wonderful end to a weekend and the perfect start to eating right for the upcoming week!
Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 03:25PM
Grab a friend or relative and stock up with local products and services that nourish mind, body, and soul. We have massage and tons of local products to grill, steam, fry, blanch, or just eat raw. Focus on the market for your weekly food purchases and only use mass-market retailers for things not found at the market. This way your local economy is the winner, not a corporate office in some other part of the world!
Weather report: Beautiful and 85 degrees with some scattered clouds…..
We are proud to announce new vendors:
Twisted Lemonade – Juices squeezed fresh right in front of you.
Herrcastle Farms – The freshest produce grown only 25 miles from the market.
Banyan Yoga – New yoga studio opening up in Elkins Park.
Did you know…
- that you can write checks for all of your favorite products?
- that many of our vendors have promotions going on?
- that all of our produce is grown within 50 miles of the market?

It’s very important to be aware of your food purchases and consumption on all levels. We at CreekSide want to help you help yourself in understanding what being a “locavore” means for you and the environment. Please follow this link and read up on the basics of your local food system: http://www.locavorenetwork.com/. Disclaimer: CreekSide Co-op is the organizer of the Sunday Market. The vendors participating in the market may or may not be suppliers for the upcoming Co-op. The pricing of the products sold are at the sole discretion of the independent owners who grow, produce, and sell them.
